Judaeyaan tau muqaddar hain phir bhi ay jaan-e-safar
Kuch aur door zara saath chal ke dekhtay hain

Raah-e-wafa mein hereef kharam koi tau ho
sou apne aap se aagay nikal ke dekhtay hain

Tu samnay hai tau phir kyon yaqeen nahe aata
Yeh baar baar jo aankhon ko mal ke dekhtay hain

Yeh kaun log moujood hain teri mehfil mein
Jo lalichoon se tujhe, mujh ko jal ke dekhtay hain

Bahut dinoon se nahe hai kuch us ki khair khabar
Chalo ‘Faraz’ ko-e-yaar chal ke dekhtay hain

who look at you covetously and see me with envy
